As usual, it seems it has been way too long since we have updated the site!
Work is keeping me very busy. I have moved from the offset type department to supervising the art department. It has been very challenging, but now that I am putting everything in order and getting employees in line it is becoming more manageable. I have also hired an assistant, which has helped. Our busy season is also winding down, so I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Gilbert has had the stomach flu twice in the past six weeks, Jerry and I have each had it once…so that has been our other big challenge here in Minnesota. I also just got over a cold which knocked me out for two whole days. I actually slept for eighteen hours straight! Thank goodness Jerry kept the ship afloat those days… Suppose I am just run down from working so many hours, can’t wait until our busy season is over!
Enough with all the complaining! Gilbert (despite illness) is doing great. The weather has been beautiful here, so we have made many trips to the park. It made me so anxious for summer. Gilbert is getting so big and is such a little talker! He loves to tell stories and has such a great imagination! I just love to listen to him talk about his day. He also loves to pretend that we are characters from books and television shows that he likes. Mom recently brought him a cowboy hat, and now he insists that he is Woody from “Toy Story.”
Our extended families are doing well. My dad has made it through another tax season; he was down here two weeks ago and we had a great visit. My mom was just here last month, and is now excited to go visit my sister for two weeks in Maryland while her husband is off for three weeks doing some training for his job. Jerry’s parents had a few health scares recently, but they are doing well and plan on stopping by for a visit on their way back to North Dakota after wintering in Texas. After all these visits Gilbert will just be spoiled to death with all his grandparent’s love…but that is just how it should be!

I hope you have a good Memorial Day! We have company coming in June but I am hoping to see you all before you come to visit in August! Summer is so busy. I could spend every spare moment on my house, yard and garden and still never finish. Love you all! Mom
