Up North ~ Life in Minnesota

April has been such a busy month, both at home and at work.

The month began with the wedding of our good friend Ole. Jerry was the best man, and if you can believe it he gave a speech and everything! It was a beautiful wedding, and we both felt very lucky to be included in such a special day.

Grandma and Grandpa came to town to baby-sit Gilbert while we were tied up with wedding festivities. By all accounts they all had a fun time going out to eat, blowing bubbles in the hotel room and swimming in the pool.

I have had two conferences and one computer training class this month, which has kept me very busy at work. It is going into peak season for tourism, so Jerry has been busy too.

What can I say about Gilbert? I could probably write a book about all the fun things he is doing these days. He is learning a ton of new words, and is also learning sign language to supplement his communication skills. When the weather is nice, he loves to go outside and run around or blow “bubboos.”
