Up North ~ Life in Minnesota

Gilbert is just shy of his first birthday, and he has been up to a lot lately!

I don’t know where the summer has gone, and I can hardly believe that my baby is about to be a year old! His newest tricks include drinking from a sippy cup, eating all kinds of finger foods (he LOVES plums), and standing. Yes, he can stand, but he has not yet taken his first step. He also likes to dance; when he hears music he bounces and bops his head. It is too cute!

We took a trip to Mitchell this past weekend. It is about two and a half hours away, and Gilbert slept all the way there and back. We were so pleased! While in Mitchell we swam in the pool, went to Cabelas and also to a drive-in movie. It was Gilbert’s first movie ever and our first movie in a long time. It was so fun; we hope to do it again later this summer!
