Gilbert is 9 Months Old

We had Gilbert’s 9-month well baby exam today, and he passed with flying colors!
Gilbert is now 20 pounds 13 ounces and is 29 1/4 inches long, putting him in the 60th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. He seems to be right on target for all of his developmental milestones.
Gilbert loves baby food (especially green beans) and is now starting on finger foods like Cheerios, which are messy but so much fun! He loves to crawl around, often following Kitty! He doesn’t pull up yet, but he loves to stand up and can get himself from lying to sitting without help. Gilbert waves to everyone…Daddy, Mommy, the neighbor dog, squirrels, and of course that handsome baby in the mirror gets big smiles and lots of waving! He still loves to read, and now when you say “baby” he will point to the babies in his picture books. As always, Gilbert is a big talker and “da-da-da” is his current mantra. He also hisses like a little snake and blows raspberries.
Glad to hear that Gilbert had a good check-up. It is so much fun watching him get bigger and smarter with every passing update. XOXO
